Private Cheffing
Turn your home into a restaurant with our private cheffing services. Whether you want to treat your guests to a sit-down dinner, a laid-back braai, canapes for cocktail hour or something more structured like a wine pairing, we can do it for you.
How does it work?
Menu selection
We give you a proposed menu based on your enquiry which we can change until it fits 100% with what you want, as well as what you are prepared to pay (because budgets matter!). If you are interested, intrigued or convinced, we ask you to pay our admin fee in order to secure the date. Once that is done we give you our undivided attention to plan your perfect event.
The perfect event
For us, the perfect event is one that not only speaks to the personality and taste of the host but leaves each and every guest satisfied and joyous afterwards. Our perfect events are of course centred around our yummy food, but can also include other services such as decor and hiring, beverages, waiters and other staff, flowers, and entertainment. We can add these services to your quote and finalise everything 2 weeks before the event date.
On the day
On the day of the event, we will be bustling! We do the shopping and the initial prep at our central kitchen, then we pack everything up and leave for your home. Once there, we set up, help you set the table (if you need us) and finish our prep. We will be ready to serve your guests at the time that you decide.
Afterwards
After we finish serving the meal, we tidy up and clean the area that we used for prep. We then quietly sneak out, leaving you to enjoy the rest of your evening with your guests.
What will we need from you?
In order for us to give you the best experience ever, we will need enough information from you to ensure the menu we propose is actually do-able. For the preparation, we will need enough workspace, fridge and maybe freezer space, and a working oven and stove. For a braai menu, we will need a braaier. We clean what we use, and leave the space the same way we got it.
Cutlery, crockery, etc.
Should you not have enough cutlery and crockery, glassware or linen for your event we can help you hire in. We can also assist with the bar set up, including glasses. We will check all of this with you when we are busy with the quote.
